Kashipur: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a grand yoga camp was organized by KVS Premier Foundation (Kashi Vishwanath Steels Pvt. Ltd. and Devarpan Foods Pvt. Ltd.) in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India, Rotary Club of Kashipur, and Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Kashipur Udham Singh Nagar West. The event was held from 5 to 7 AM at the Sports Stadium, Ramnagar Road, Kashipur.
The camp was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by the chief guest Mayor Deepak Bali, along with special guests SDM Abhay Pratap Singh, SP Abhay Singh, Tehsildar Pankaj Chandola, Police Circle Officer Deepak Kumar, Kotwali in-charge Amar Chand Sharma, and ITI police station in-charge Kundan Rautla. Also present were KVS Premier Foundation’s founder Devendra Kumar Agarwal, Smt. Rekha Agarwal, Arpan Jindal, BP Goyal, and Smt. Kamla Rikhari, State Executive Member of Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti.
On this occasion, the Yoga Sadhana Directory, compiled by Smt. Kamla Rikhari and published by KVS Premier Group, was officially released. The directory was freely distributed by the foundation in memory of Late Smt. Vinod Devi Jindal and Late Shri Mithlesh Kumar Agarwal, to guide and benefit yoga practitioners.
Addressing the participants, Devendra Kumar Agarwal, Managing Director of KVS Premier Group, emphasized the holistic benefits of yoga, calling it an ancient tradition that unites body, mind, and soul. He highlighted its role in managing diseases and improving lifestyles through consistent practice.
Mayor Deepak Bali appreciated the global significance of Yoga Day, now celebrated in over 170 countries, and praised India’s role as a “Yoga Guru” to the world.
The event also featured musical yoga demonstrations and Surya Namaskar by school students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti to KVS Premier Foundation for their sponsorship. A large number of men, women, and children participated, embracing yoga for a healthier, disease-free life.
